Wasica’s (now-expired) 524 patent describes systems for monitoring tire pressure in vehicles. The patent addresses problems with inaccuracy in prior art by synchronizing components of the tire pressure system. In two inter partes review proceedings, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board found certain claims unpatentable as anticipated or obvious.
